A HAZY CRAZY SINGAPORE STAY

THIRD PART

With an abundance of tourist attractions, restaurants, nature reserves, beaches and hotels, SENTOSA packs a wallop of activities all year round and amazingly, the island's expansion is still on-going.   A day clearly would not be enough to experience the entirety of the island, not to mention the overall cost would terribly humble the budget we three had.  Fortunately, days before our arrival, we came upon reasonably priced ticket vouchers covering a set of attractions (approximately 40.00 SGD for a day pass at Universal Studios and 50.00 SGD for 2 rides, a marine exhibit entrance and an evening show).  While the things we were able to do in a short period of time within this five square kilometer island took quite a lot from us, we got back to the main land that evening undeniably resembling like children coming home after a day at the playground: Drained and undoubtedly exhausted but wide eyed and very much happy.

As a thousand golden beads adorned the cityscape, shining long twines of green and blue light beamed down from the top of the grandiose Marina Bay Sands and basking proudly across the bay waters was the famed merlion with its coiled tail and roaring head.  We all agreed that even at night, Singapore was as astounding and mind-blowing as it was under the sun.  This Seen throughout its streets, its people and their way of life, Singapore honors the past as much as it welcomes the future.  It is a genuine example that amidst the populace's multitude of ethos and diverse customs remained a unified nation, enduring as well as thriving through the ever changing times.
